Cebu basketball fans are in for a major treat as Gilas Pilipinas is headed to Cebu City for its home games in the Februaryโ€“March 2027 window of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 Asian Qualifiers.

The Philippine national team is scheduled to face Jordan on February 26, 2027, followed by Syria on March 1, 2027, with both home games set to be played at the SM Seaside Cebu Arena.

Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) Executive Director Erika Dy confirmed that the national team will play outside Metro Manila for the window, bringing international basketball action closer to fans in Cebu and the rest of the Visayas.

Beyond the Februaryโ€“March window, Cebu is also expected to host other matches of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 Asian Qualifiers, further strengthening the city's growing role as a destination for major sporting events.
